Ella Tevet is Head of the Intellectual Property and Privacy practice at GKH, which she joined in 2007.

Ella counsels local and international clients across a range of industries, including software, internet, social media, e-commerce, telecommunications and life science, advising these clients on data privacy matters, managing the commercialization and protection of their intellectual property portfolio as well as defending against the possibility or allegations of infringement. In addition, Ella provides advice to these clients in a wide range of intellectual property, data privacy and information technology matters, for example, drafting website and mobile applications related legal documents (such as terms of use and privacy policy), use of open source software, privacy laws, data protection regulations, management of databases, cyber issues, consulting regarding infringements of trademarks, patents, copyrights and trade secrets, trademark filing and prosecution, domain name protection, protection of intellectual property rights in various settings, such as employer-employee, development, evaluation and independent contractor relationships. Ella works closely with the lawyers from GKH’s technology, M&A and securities law teams in the investment rounds, mergers and acquisition transactions and IPOs in the conduct of IP due diligence and other aspects of these transactions relating to the intellectual property and privacy matters.

Ella has extensive experience in negotiating and structuring complex licensing and collaborations transactions, technology transfer arrangements, data transfer agreements, content license agreements, development and supply arrangements, cross licensing agreements, international consortium agreements (such as EU FP7 consortiums) and other commercial and technology transactions.

In addition, Ella has vast experience dealing with matters relating to companies that have received grants from the Israeli Office of the Chief Scientist, as well as matters relating to compliance with the Israeli encryption legislation.
