Biography

Amir Twito is an immigration lawyer who is member of the Labor law department at Gross & Co. Law Firm.

Amir joined Gross & Co. in 2022, with the intention of developing and leading the field of immigration law, in the establishment of the immigration department. Beforehand, he worked for 13 years as a litigator in the legal department of the Population and Immigration Authority (Ministry of Interior) and was a leading lawyer in the field.

As part of his work, Amir specialized in the field of immigration to Israel and gained extensive experience in litigation and representation in administrative courts, including writing legal documents and managing legal proceedings, providing legal advice, and dealing with legal aspects in all fields related to immigration, writing and preparing legal positions and legal opinions.

In addition to his position as a representative lawyer at the Population and Immigration Authority, Amir established in 2011 the Department of “appeal committee” in Tel Aviv, which was a “pilot” for the establishment of the Central District litigation department. In 2014 Amir established the Tel Aviv legal representation of PIBA, which represents the Authority before the Appeals  Court  dealing with  Israeli immigration laws.

As part of his work at Gross & Co. Law Firm, Amir handles ongoing immigration matters for a variety of the firm’s clients:

  • Start-up and hi-tech companies, multinational companies and public entities in the field of work and residence visas regulation in Israel for employment of foreign workers, foreign experts, businessmen, visiting senior managers and volunteers. Among others, Amir represents and advises companies such as AxiomSL Ltd, M.C. Magenta management Ltd, Nilus OS Ltd and Nes Ami cooperative village.
  • Private clients in various immigration to Israel fields – citizenship and “Aliya”, residency for mixed spouses, residency for Israelis foreign family members, foreign students and tourists, which includes handling residency legal procedures at the Population and Immigration Authority, managing legal proceedings in various courts of appeals.
