Biography

Adv. Nathan Meir is one of the most prominent attorneys in Israel in the fields of planning and construction and local authorities, thanks to his extensive activity and many years of experience.
Nathan began his professional career at Adv. Isaac Shevo and former judge Dr. Gavriel Kling’s law firm, and, as of 1979, acted as legal counsel for various local authorities, among them: Treasury of Local Government, Coordinator of Local Government, The Company for Economy of Local Government, The Company for Automation of Local Government and the Center for Local Governments. In 1983, Adv. Meir founded the Nathan Meir & Co. Law Firm, which merged with Gross & Co.
Furthermore, Nathan provides legal services to local governments, municipal corporations and cities unions, as well as consulting to various employees and unions, including the Association of Municipal Corporations, the Israel Association of Treasurers in Local Government Offices and preparation staff of different outline plans.
Nathan also serves as legal counsel for the Association of Engineers in Israel, has held different functions in many public committees, and has been serving as head of the Licensing Committee of the Israeli National Football Association for many years.
Nathan founded Nathan Meir & Co. in 1983, with the purpose of providing professional legal services to his clients.

Nathan regularly lectures on the topics of local authorities and municipal law, planning and construction, real estate and real estate taxation in various institutions and organizations, including government offices, higher education institutions, vocational schools and various advanced studies institutes.
In addition to his various activities, Nathan publishes articles in professional journals in his fields of expertise, while also a member of various editorial boards of professional magazines and often appears in conferences and lectures regarding his fields of expertise.
Nathan recently developed a model for infrastructure development in local authorities and, based on his recommendations, the Municipal Act was amended.
