Israeli Association of General Aviation | petition to the Supreme Court

September 2022

Ready for take-off!
We continue to represent the Israeli Association of General Aviation in another petition to the Supreme Court. The petition aims to ensure the continued use of the Herzliya Airport until they find a new location to call home.
Since the closure of Sde Dov Airport, Herzliya Airport is the only one in Israel that is used for domestic aviation. In addition to its essential operations such as air ambulance and firefighting, it serves as the main training center for civil aviation in Israel.

The submission of the first petition was a catalyst for the approval of a temporary outline plan by the government. This has allowed the continued operation of the Herzliya airport.
The current petition calls for the airport’s continued operation until it can be transferred to an alternative location.

Attorneys Giora Ben-Tal and Hila Waintrob, partners in the litigation department of our firm, represent the Aviation Association, in the aforementioned procedures.
